Mal lived just down the street. I remember a natural athlete, a very bright kid, blessed with a fine sense of humor. Also blessed with magnificent laziness. We had drifted apart by the time of high school, but enjoyed moments that brought us together.

Mal was a friend. His younger brother, Paul and my younger brother, Ken were good buddies. The 4 of us would hang out together, and do some fun things.

Malcolm was very laid back before it was fashionable . He was an excellent high jumper for our track team .
