So sorry to find that Jim has passed away.  My memories of him in high school were that he brought something no one else could to our experience.  He had a great ironic perspective on the events of the day.  My condolences to Bonnie and your family.

Hope you will make it to the 50th reunion. It would be great to talk about band days with you and Denk. Remember when I played last chair in concert band, and you were first chair trumpet? Remember how at strategic times, like when you had a solo coming up, how often your trumpet would be sorely out of tune? What the heck was with that anyway? Too much oil on your tuning slide?
