Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  I got to talk with him at our 50th, always one of the nicest / most open guys in our class.  I reminded him of the

game winning home run he hit in a Pony league playoff game.....it was so far over my head at 2nd base....it looked like a moon shot...just a good guy.

Sorry for your loss Bonnie.  Dave Berns

Very sorry about the loss of Jim. Jim and I were good friends and, for the latter part of high school, the Gibson family was kind of my second family. He and I were roommates freshman year at SIU. I was very fortunate that I was invited to and could attend Bonnie and Jim's 50th wedding anniversary in Phoenix  and could spend some time with them at the 50th reunion. Lots of good memories!

Sorry to hear about Jim's passing and condolences to his family.  I can still remember when Jimmy Gibson beat everyone at foot racing in 4th grade.  A real good guy and will be missed.

Sorry for Jim's loss...what a great guy. I remember when we were in line for our college I.D. card pictures.  SIU- Carbondale 1965. I asked Jim if I could borrow his glasses for the photo and when I got my card there was a reflection which made my eyes look like google eyes.  I had to live with that ID for the next 5 years.

In the past few years and even in the past few months, we have lost several of our classmates, our friends and Loved Ones.  Time, distance and our separate journeys have not erased the memories of moments shared with them.  For me, Jim Gibson will always hold good memories of our times on the athletic fields and off, in the classroom and places we went together. And, even some of the mischief we made!  However, what I will always remember, when I think of Jim, I think of  his smile.  His humor and his wit were always there, but what comes to the forefront of my mind, it will always be his smile.  My heart goes out to you, Bonnie, for your loss.
